It is comming up to that time of the year when we get asked to cast our vote at local elections. This year it is the Newcastle Borough elections, so these are the people who meet in Newcastle and decide how your money is spent over the whole Borough. These people control street cleaning, parks, gardens etc - however not the highways which is a Staffordshire County Council job.

In the Kidsgrove ward you will have the following candidates to pick from;

Astle Margaret - Lab
Lewis Matthew - John Con
Morrey Tina - Lib Dem
Rafferty Glyn - UKIP

We will be welcoming comments and answers to questions from all candidates, all will be invited to take part via the site, however if they do not choose to do so, then maybe this tells you something about the person you may be electing. Glyn Rafferty already contributes to this site - a point I feel should be made.

Please ensure that you cast your vote in May and remember these elections will affect the local area as you see it.
