Adverse weather will affect waste and recycling services across the borough.
Collection crews for the kerbside recycling and refuse services are unable to access some roads and properties due to the recent snowfall and icy conditions. If your recycling or waste is not picked up by 5pm, please save it for your next scheduled collection date when it will be collected along with any extra recycling and waste. David Adams, Executive Director for Operational Services, said: "The borough council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their patience and understanding. "At the moment, collection vehicles are managing to access main roads but are unable to grip on icy side roads and estates. “We hope to get collections back to normal next week but with the weather forecast, we will have to assess the situation on a daily basis.” The freezing weather is expected to continue, causing severe frost and ice. Updates are available first thing every weekday morning from the borough council’s website. Please remember that the borough council does not operate refuse collections on Mondays.
